Angela Alarcon
Angela Alarcon is a board-certified physician assistant who has focused on excellent outpatient primary care medicine services. She believes in a person-centered approach to health, supporting and empowering each patient in their individual health goals and needs. Prior to joining Thrive Medical, she worked in a primary care / sexual health / gender affirming care clinic.
Angela completed her undergraduate education at St. Edward’s University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on ecology. During her studies she spent a semester in Panama studying biodiversity and sustainability in rural communities. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. After completing her training, she returned to Austin to be closer to family. She has previously worked serving LGBTQIA+ communities and is Academy of HIV Medicine Specialist (AAHIVS) Certified. We are excited to have Angela Alarcon join Thrive Medical to help us deliver the best care to all of our patients that we serve.
In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time kayaking and hiking on the trails outside Austin with her partner and their dog.
